In 1914 Sid Wainer & Son delivered fresh produce to the local restaurants and shops of New Bedford, MA by horse and buggy. Today we deliver and receive products by truck, train, and plane. Orders can be placed, packed, and shipped all within a few hours. We closely monitor all of our vehicles for temperature and food safety.

Shipping Policy

We are committed to proving home and professional chefs with the highest quality products available. In order to ensure quality of our products and food safety all orders are processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. All order cut-off times are subject to change.
Please anticipate a slight delay in delivery during holiday periods due to Fed Ex/UPS closures on national holidays and high holiday volume.

Perishable (Overnight) or Expedited (2nd Day) Ordering Deadlines:

Orders placed Monday through Thursday by 2:00 pm EST ship out the same day. Please allow for unexpected delays.

Orders received after 2:00 pm EST on Thursday ship out the following Monday unless Saturday delivery is requested.

Ground Ordering Deadlines:

Ground orders ship Monday through Friday by 2:00 pm EST. After 2:00 pm EST on Friday, orders will not go out until the following Monday.

Shipping Restrictions:

We are unable to ship fresh produce into California.

Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico will incur a delivery surcharge. Ground delivery is not an option.

We are unable to deliver to P.O., F.P.O., or A.P.O. boxes, or outside the U.S.

Items sold by the pound will be an approximate weight and may be rounded up or down.

Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together in the same box.

Shipping Cost:

All orders will be charged a flat fee per order. Please note that perishable items and any orders including perishable items require overnight delivery.

  • Overnight Saturday - $44.99

Keep an eye out for discounted freight rates and promotions! Note that these only apply to Ground shipping, you will be notified at time of checkout.

Return Policy:

Please unpack orders upon receiving them to check product. If you are unhappy or have any questions, please call within 24 hours of receiving your order and we will be happy to address any issues.

Order Cancellations:

Orders can be canceled with advance notice. Please cancel before 2:00 pm EST the day of shipping. If an order has already begun the shipping process, we cannot cancel or change it.
