Tasso Taco Dip

Ingredients

8 ounces
Crème Fraiche
11 3⁄10 ounces
Mild Salsa (1 jar)
1 1⁄2 cup
Monterey Jack (shredded)

Tomato, diced

Scallions (sliced, 1 reserved for garnish)

Avocado (sliced)

Instructions

Place tasso in baking dish, cover with water, then cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Remove tasso from dish, shred, and set aside.  Drain piquillo peppers, pat dry with a paper towel and chop.  Mix peppers and tasso together and spread the mixture in the bottom of a baking dish.  Next, top with creme fraiche and salsa.  Sprinkle with diced tomatoes, slivered scallions, and shredded cheese.  Top with reserved scallions and fresh avocado slices.  Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
