Maple Walnut Shortbread Bars
Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine together flour, sugar and salt. Once combined, cut in unsalted butter, mixing until crumbly. Press into a jelly roll pan and bake for 15 minutes. In the meantime, beat together brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla and salt until combined. Pour over shortbread and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Return pan to the oven and bake for another 45 minutes to 1 hour. Allow to cool before cutting.
