Green Tea Ice Cream
Mix hot water and green tea powder together and set aside. Lightly whisk egg yolks in a medium sauce pan, add sugar and mix well. Gradually add milk and mix well again. Put the pan over low heat and simmer until thickened, stir constantly. Once thickened remove from heat and cool in an ice bath. When cold add green tea mixture to the egg mixture and set aside. In a separate bowl whip heavy cream to soft peaks and add this to the egg and tea mix. Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze following instructions of your machine.
