Jansal Valley® 'Nduja
‘Nduja, pronounced en-doo-ya, is a soft, spicy sausage whose history is as complex as its flavor. The pork product originated in the kitchens of Calabrian butchers’ wives, who were taxed of their best salami and left with scraps. Ingenuity and pepperoncini came together to create this bold spalmata, or spread, which has remained much underground until a recent renaissance in Italian-American cuisine.
Salami, sundried tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, and red chili peppers are smoked and slow-fermented to develop the signature spicy umami flavor of the world’s best salumi. What was once an obscure regional specialty is now available for your most fiery applications. For a traditional use, spread over crusty Italian bread and serve with a tall glass of water. It can also be used as a unique addition to sauces and soups, creating an impactful depth of flavor.
This handcrafted Italian salami spread is a perishable product.
