Fondo di Toscana® Long Stem Artichokes with Herbs
Along the Mediterranean Sea of Tuscany, Lazio, and Ligurio, south to Sicilia and Sardinia, you'll find one of the richest cultivated artichoke regions in the world. Planted in the fall and spring, the artichoke harvest begins in early October for the early cultivation and ends in late June for the second crop. Our producer in this region of Italy exclusively produces these artichokes for Sid Wainer and Son. They are marinated in the lightest of sunflower oils and regional wine vinegar then seasoned with aromatic herbs. Enjoy as an accompaniment to grilled meat or fish or try in antipastos and salads or enjoy by themselves as an appetizer.
