L'essence du Fromage® Camembert
During the French Revolution, a Normandy farmer was kind enough to have welcomed a dissident priest from Brie into his home. In recognition of this hospitality, the priest shared the secret of cheesemaking from the Brie region. Briarde and Normandy traditions were fused to produce Camembert, a remarkable soft-ripened cow's milk cheese with an edible bloomy rind and creamy texture. Our L'essence du Fromage® Camembert is made with pasteurized cow's milk and is aged for two weeks.
