Fondo di Toscana® Asiago Primissimo
Our Asiago Primissimo comes to us from the Veneto region of Italy. Since the milk used to make the cheese is collected from the cows on the very morning the cheese is made, the cheese has a high butterfat content and is therefore quite flavorful. It is a rich, crumbly cheese reminiscent of Parmesan. The cheese is made with pasteurized milk and is aged for one year to develop that sharp, salty tang. You can grate it onto pasta dishes and salads or bake it into breads for a delightful savory experience. Asiago shows off its versatility when paired with nuts and fruits, as it makes an excellent dessert cheese as well.
